FAQ
Answers to common questions about my campaign and how to get involved.
1Why am I running for State Representative?
I am running because it is time our community, our district, and our people become the agenda of our State Representative. This only happens if rational, reasonable Democrats and Republicans stop wasting time with fighting and start working together.
2What is my baseline political position?
I am a fiscal moderate, and I object to governmental overreach into our personal lives: our homes, our bedrooms, our families and our personal choices.
3What is my position on the political fighting?
We have to stop fighting over partisan labels. Republican versus Democrat fighting does not solve our problems. My motto is "Working for the People, Not the Parties." Let's put aside differences to focus on practical solutions for District 183. I will work with rational, reasonable legislators from both parties; if we can come together on one issue for 183, that is a win.
4What is my perspective on conservative Republicans in power?
My personal perspectives on anyone is not part of the job. My job is to reflect on and fight for the needs of our community. Acting out any other agenda motivated by personal issues or created by other politicians means that my agenda is not focused on my district. Furthermore, as a State Representative, my job is limited to state and local concerns; I am not part of the federal system. My job is only to represent our local interests.
5What are some of my top priorities and issues?
- Require AI data centers to locate in isolated warehouse districts, away from neighborhoods and green spaces.
- Make food and basic necessities affordable for everyone.
- Increase access to affordable housing, including taxes and utilities.
- Strengthen Main Streets to raise property values, showcase local assets, and support small businesses.
- Reduce healthcare costs and improve access to care.
- Support first responders—including volunteers—with equipment, safety, and recruitment.
- Improve roads and infrastructure.
- Reduce property taxes, especially for residents on fixed incomes.
- Use public grants more effectively to reduce reliance on local taxes.
- Reinvest in public education.
- Limit government overreach in our personal lives.
- Protect responsible and safe gun ownership.
- Keep our community and homes the top priority.
6What makes me the most qualified candidate for the job?
Professionally, I am a retired Pennsylvania attorney with decades of legal experience, a forensic document examiner, adjunct professor, keynote speaker, and small business owner. I have years of experience with regulations, government agencies, and negotiating resolutions.
Personally, I grew up in Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania, a small coal-mining and farming town. I moved to Lehigh Valley as a teen. My husband is from Slatington, with generations before him. I understand the needs of our community. My full background is in the About Me section and my resume is available for download here.
7Yard signs, from ordering to replacement
My yard signs are party-neutral. They are red, white and blue and say nothing about party affiliation. Despite this, if someone were to take or ruin your sign, then we'll replace it; just let us know, and we'll bring another by (or three) in its place. To request a yard sign, use the form in Get Involved.

8Getting involved: any level of support is appreciated
Use the form in the Get Involved section and our team will follow up.
9Donations, to put it in perspective
To put election costs into perspective, a single paper mailer costs about $15,000 and a local 30-second television advertisement averages $35,000. Whether you can contribute $100, $250, $1,000 or more, your contribution to my candidacy is an investment in our future.

About Me
I am running for office because we deserve a leader who listens first, builds bridges, and focuses on real solutions for our community rather than partisan agendas. My motto is “Working for the People, Not the Parties.” because our community is my number one priority. The best path forward must rely on common sense, cooperation, and practical leadership. We will accomplish this understanding of the challenges that follow us, practicing balanced moderation, and winning the battles crucial for our community to thrive. As a fiscal moderate, I object to the overreach of the government into our homes, our doctors' offices, our families, and our lives. We should be allowed to live our lives as we decide.
Understanding our Area
I understand the needs of our area. I have lived in Schnecksville with my wonderful family for nearly twenty years. My children went to Parkland High School. My husband, Russ, is from Slatington, with multiple generations preceding him. His parents, Tex and Barb Todd, owned Remaley's Fuel, H.L. Todd and Sons Excavating, and the Highlander Laundromat in Slatington. We are pet parents (and now pet grandparents) to our dogs, Whiskey, Jinjin and Brunson.
